                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 920, 922,
                   AND 924 EAST 8TH STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST
                   LINE OF EAST 8TH STREET AT MAGNOLIA STREET,
                   FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 920, 922, and 924 East
                8th Street, being on the southwest line of East 8th
                Street at Magnolia Street.  Lots 46 and 47, A.C.
                Burns Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in
                deed book H, volume 2, page 478, R.O.H.C.; being
                the properties described in deed book 3695, page
                367, R.O.H.C., deed book 3697, page 566, R.O.H.C.,
                and deed book 2821, page 28, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No.
                146H-B-8.
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to R-4 Special Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   The house on the internal lot shall be used for an
                   office and not more than one resident.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
